Written by Jessica B. Mason | Apr 15, 2020 10:22:24 PM

Several institutions have transitioned to virtual teaching and training in response to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. If your organization is offering educational or training resources, please share your information with us. This list will be updated frequently.

Here is a list of institutions that are offering helpful resources during this time:

We are Generation T Virtual Shop Class

Generation T, powered by Lowe’s is proud to present Virtual Shop Class – a series of free, live webinars that encourage kids to become future tradesmen and women. Presented on Facebook Live in partnership with She Built This City, the class starts May 5 and will take place every Tuesday, beginning at Noon, EDT. See class schedule here.

Career Services at Southwest Tennessee Community College

The Career Services team at Southwest Tennessee Community College realizes that while many businesses have temporarily closed or limited operations, others continue to operate and may have positions to fill.  In support of both these employers and Southwest “soon-to-be-graduates” looking for employment, Career Services continues to post and maintain full and part-time job listings. To post your positions, visit http://www.southwest.tn.edu/career-services/partners.htm.

Greater Memphis Financial Empowerment Center

The Greater MEMPHIS Financial Empowerment Center (GMFEC) is still working with clients remotely. If anyone needs one-on-one financial counseling we can schedule them for sessions if they call (901) 390-4200. The counselors are certified and the service is free regardless of their income levels. We have a contract through the Shelby County Trustee’s office and the GMFEC was created with a match grant from Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE).

Shelby County Schools CCTE

Attention SCS CCTE students! You can still finish some certifications online this year by May 22. Be on the lookout for info from your teachers, and find these resources and more at http://scsk12.org/instructionalresources/ccte?PID=1665
